To help partners effectively engage their communities, the U.S. Census Bureau offers materials and videos about the 2020 Census that can be shared with the public. Additionally the Census Bureau offers resources that explain what partners can do to contribute.
General Outreach Materials
Partners can download, customize, and share Census Bureau outreach materials. The links below will help you find print and other materials to help you or you organization promote the 2020 Census and request use of the 2020 logo for your own materials and advertising.

Target Audience Outreach
Most U.S. adults intend to participate in 2020 census, but some demographic groups aren’t sure according to recent research surveys. The resources below are designed to help involved citizens and community partners target awareness efforts to these groups.
Hard to Count Areas
Due to low response rates in 2010, the Census Bureau has identified hard to count areas in the city of Marietta. Census Bureau Hardest to Count (HTC) Areas are Census Tracts with 2010 mail return rates of 73% or less.
Audience Specific Outreach Materials
The Census Bureau has prepared outreach materials including fact sheets, posters, flyers, brochures and other handouts targeted to individuals that are less likely to respond to the 2020 Census invitation. Here are just a few for example:
Non-English Resources
Use the links below to access resources to promote awareness among households that do not speak English fluently or as a primary language. These households often coincide with the Census Bureaus hard to count areas.
PSA Tool Kit
The toolkit enables partners and stakeholders to access produced PSAs or create their own using pre-approved messages and talking points.
To get started with the PSA Toolkit, follow these 4 steps:
- Download and read the PSA Guidelines (PDF).
- Identify the PSA you are interested in using.
- Review the available languages and audiences for the PSA you are interested in.
- Ensure you are referring to the appropriate usage guidelines that align with the PSA you would like to use, prior to using your PSA.
